The average house price in the UK has increased by 2.1% over the year to March 2020. In England, the average property price is £248,000.

The average rental yield in the UK is 3.53%, but properties in larger cities and metropolitan areas can reach as high as 7%

Student numbers are at an all-time high. There are over 2.3 million students in the UK, and over 400,000 are internationals.

There are 2.66 million landlords in the UK, but over 4.5 million people rent their property. Only 2.8 million used to rent in 2007.

Many people are living in unsuitable conditions due to the current lack of housing. 3.6 million people live in an overcrowded property, and 2.5 million adults have to live with parents, friends and ex-partners because they can’t find a place of their own.

28% of people who had no intention of moving before the UK lockdown revealed they are now “ on the lookout” for a new property.
